Consumer engagement in healthcare begins with innovative plan designs. There are many parts to this plan, but they are all designed to give the patient the motivation to control and manage the care of their health. These elements combine to produce never- before-seen results!

Personal Healthcare Account (PHCA)

Once a person is enrolled as a PaCe member, they will be directed to set-up their Personal Healthcare Account (PHCA). Their PHCA is a consumer directed strategy that pairs a group health insurance plan (PaCe) with a tax advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA) and a Health

Incentive Account (HIA). Health Incentive Accounts are designed to earn rewards and cash incentives from a health rewards program. This permits shopping for and selecting the most advisable price for medical services. Both accounts appear in an on-line member portal.


Account Transparency and Activity

Patients choose how much or how little they want to stay informed about the cost efficiency of the group health plan, comparative national averages, and their place as a cost saver or user against all their fellow health plan members. Their dashboard of health plan data is available 24/7 in their secure, on-line member portal.


Cost Management Partnership

PaCe does not create individual agreements with medical professionals or facilities in order to create a network of allowed providers. Provider networks routinely limit choice and access. We utilize Reference Based Pricing (RBP) which reimburses providers at a fair and reasonable payment calculated upon what Medicare would pay, plus an added percentage. We experience a 97% acceptance rate from providers. The remaining 3% are fee negotiated for a final resolution of all charges. RBP allows our members to be a part of the pricing and first line of defense for medical billing. Every medical bill that a patient creates will be displayed in their PHCA. They’ll know what the provider charged, what payment is allowed under RBP, and will be informed of their acceptance of the PaCe payment and any disputed charges. We want members to be our cost management partner, because, after all, it’s their money!



User Pricing Tools and Mobile App

Our mobile app displays our member portal, relevant user data, and inter-active health plan resources. Members can track their account balances, health incentives, personal health status, community health standings, and more. This will likely be their first stop for physician visits, tracking pharmacy benefits and costs, and controlling the expense of healthcare. They’ll also have at their fingertips pricing tools that will inform them as a consumer what any medical service should reasonably cost.

With PaCe, members have a personal guide through the sometimes confusing and complex aspects of healthcare. Each member, through the convenience of Telehealth, will have personal engagement with a primary care doctor who is a click away! Personal care physicians advise and manage visits to a local doctor, are available for health related questions, seek out and refer the best quality lower cost complex care (hospital stays, surgeries, out-patient testing, etc.), coordinate care with multiple providers if necessary, and help manage life altering diagnoses should that happen. All this and more from the comfort and convenience of home, office or car.
